Math Fest!

An event that is awaited by many students inclined in math. The Math fest was held last Tuesday November 29, 2011. A program that the math club held at the multipurpose gym of CNSHS. It was a fun and successful event because of the many contest held by the club.

The program started by the introduction of the king and queen of science. Then  they introduced the Mr. and Ms. Sipnayan(math) which fortunately one of my classmate Jam participated. And after every contestant the emcee gives pick-ups lines that makes almost everybody laugh. At the afternoon they had the math jingle and the singing mathematician. After all the contest the awardings followed and the juniors swiped the awards but not all. Luckily Michael Nangca won the Mr. Spnayan award while getting almost all extra awards except for the Mr. popular  but unfortunately Jam did not won but the 4th year representative. But its OK.

Broken Promises

To My Beloved Nymph

The Shepherd's love for you is real and deep
because he offers you many things that you may keep
But most of these promises are impossible
And are you even sure that he's Capable?

If I will have a chance to be your suitor
I will take you to the seashore
Where we will chase each other
Until our feet get sore.

I will not tell lies
Just to impress
Cause will cause you to be depressed
And our relationship may be suppressed

I cannot promise you the things that the shepherd said
but just believe me girl we will have a happy life until we're dead
I may not have in a mansion or a big land
but I promise you I will not leave you, just give me your hand.

Yours truly,
Your Lover

Field Trip!!

Last November 11, 2011, we had our FIELD TRIP!!! The most awaited event! An event that only happens only once a year. And a chance for the students to relax and stay away from textbooks and grpahing papers plus the extreme bonding with our dearest friends.

Our first stop is the science discovery center at MOA. It was fun there because I learned many things but sadly some of their equipments are not fixed and some aren't really working at all. Then we went to the Myth of the Human Body, it is fun there because I learned a lot of things about the human body but it is quite gross because they used real humans as their specimens(EWWW!!). Then our next stop is the Kulturang Pinoy where we had a very good and warm welcome by having a party. It is fun because I learned many things about the filipino culture and especially because Joma dance the 'Maglalatik'. (hahaha) Then Our next destination was the Rizal lights but  it was under renovation so we did not go there(Quite disappointed). So we headed to our last destination ,MOA again , but this time it is only for malling and having fun with friends.

I can say everyone enjoyed the field trip because of the malling because of the relaxation and a superb bonding time with friends. =)

A Special Day for Special People

Teacher's Day , A day were  every teacher is honored.
A day were they are given praise and gratitude.
So I thank them for their  patience and consideration,
And specially for the way they give us EDUCATION.

For every failed project we submit
You always tell us not to give up and repeat
Now you rest your tired bodies even for a day
So that our next days would be Gay.

NCAE

Last September 23, 2011we had our National Career Assessment Exams or the all famous NCAE.. It is done to asses students in taking the right course for them or to know what are the inclinations of the students but it is not an obligation to follow it or a demand. It only guides students not command.

I was very excited. I woke up early that morning not only because it is the exam day but also it is a half day. No one stays in our house during weekdays so that means I am the only one at home. I started answering the test seriously but as time passes by, I took the test 'lightly' because I noticed that our reviews are far harder than the real exam.

I think that this exam( NCAE) will really help the students in choosing their courses. And I think many or most of the students that took this exam will follow this for their future jobs. And I think this is and advantage because It will help most of the students in the future.

Intrams!!

September 16- First day of Intrams
Everyone is Ecxited  but not me. The reason is I can't play any event because I did not pass my medical certificate. I tried to pass it to ma'am Tin but she told me to pass it to my adviser which is Ma'am April. Unfortunately Ma'am april told me that I cannot play so I just watched events from the 2nd floor of the Maliksi building.
It was not boring there because some of my classmates are in the room. Some are playing, some are watching movies with their laptops  and some are also watching events from the top.

September 17- Second day
As usual  I stayed in the room while watching events. Then I accompanied Ces anywhere she goes. When she wants to go down I joined her and when she's on her event tug-of-war I watched her. Untill the end of the day I'm with her. That's funny because we don't have any relationship. We're just close because were classmates last year.

Tree

My tree is a "Circus Tree"

A circus tree is actually a natural growing tree, it can be any kind of tree that was modified to look unique from any other tree. It was created by Axel Erlandson, a bean farmer. For example, to make this "Basket Tree" arborsculpture, Erlandson planted six sycamore trees in a circle and then grafted them together to form the diamond patterns.Erlandson was very secretive and refused to reveal his methods on how to grow the Circus Trees and carried the secrets to his grave.

This tree is like me. We are both unique and made differently. There's nothing in nature exactly alike with me. It is also priceless and cannot be made again like me. Even in the future,my CLONES can never be 100% like me. Even my parent, they can make another Kitkit. And one thing for sure, you can never forget this tree and even ME!

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
 That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

a. Recalling
1. "....Love is not love"
"Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks..."
"Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,.."
2."That looks on tempest and is never shaken"
"Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken"
"It is the star to every wandering bark"

b. Interpreting

What is the measuring of the image star in lines 7-8? How does this image apply to love?

Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken- Whose value cannot be counted, although it's loftiness can be limited

C. Extending

Do you agree or disagree with the speaker's interpretation of love? Why or why not?

Yes, I do agree. Because all of us already felt this kind of love. A kind of love that would never leave you. It is God's love. It is the bright morning star that lights up every dull morning and cheers up the weak and lonely.

Conversation: Laziness

Me: Good morning Ma'am. Did you call for me?

Ma'am: Yes, I did call for you. The reason is you are not updating your blogs. Why?

Me: Ma'am, the main reason is LAZINESS.

Ma'am: As usual, most of the students I asked has that kind of answer. What are you doing during weekends?

Me: Nothing important. During Saturdays I play games on my computer for almost the whole day. And.....

Ma'am: You're in front of the computer the whole day and yet you're not doing your blogs! By the way what happens to your Sundays?

Me: Every Sunday morning, I go to our Church from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon and gets home at 2:00 PM. And from 2 PM to 10 PM, I'm in front of the computer playing.

Ma'am: What a nice schedule you got there! All you do is relax and relax and not worrying about anything. Kitkit change yourself. Be productive. Don't be too lazy. Do your blogs.

Me: Okay Ma'am. I'll try.

Ma'am: Good. You may now leave.

My Mother:My Modern Day Hero

From her womb, God created me wonderfully
Sacrificed and suffered a lot only for me
She almost gave her life and its plain to see
How grateful she was when she saw me there clearly

Her unconditional love is beyond measure
And it was  indeed my happiness and pleasure
A chain of gold that can be compared to treasure
As long as I live I will love her, that's for sure

Brave and strong enough to face every trial
A woman who will fight and defend her loved one
And always an encouragement to everyone
A gorgeous hero beautiful inside and out.

I enjoy Music!!

Everyone enjoys music, right? From youngsters to old guys love it. Classical, 70's, 80's, 90's, Rock, Heavy Metal, Religious, Pop, Jazz, RNB, and even Bieber's hits are played everyday by people all over the world. This is because the kind of music reflex what kind of person are you.

Worldly music in our planet is not my type. Mostly it is about drugs ang sex. But not all worldly songs, I like Silvertoes by Parokya ni Edgar. It is  not bout any bad thing. It just want to tell an ugly girl not to feel so beautiful that everyone has a crush on her.

Since I don't like worldly music, that means that I like its opposite, religious/christian rock songs. I enjoy listening to these because it soothes me. I listen to these every night while doing my assignments and even while doing this blog entry. It lets me forget about my problems and helps me resist temptation found in every corner of this world wide web.

Stormy School Days...

A Storm is an atmospheric disturbance manifested in strong winds accompanied by rain, snow, or other precipitation and often by thunder and lightning. This the reason why the Department of Education suspends classes whenever there is a strong storm that will hit our country. DepEd may suspend classes on any level depending on the strength of the storm.

Storms oftentimes strikes our country during the months of July and August, which disturbs classes. It may make students sick or students may get left behind. Storms also make students happy because there are no classes but also sad because oftentimes internet connection is lost/gone. Storms also make students sad because their allowances will not be given.

I remember the event that happened during the storm before "Juaning".  I, Summer, and Ricky were in the canteen with some of the teachers when it suddenly rained hard. Good-thing we had our umbrellas. We were about to go to our service but the teachers stopped us because the wind is very strong. Ricky, unfortunately, did not hear what the teachers have said. He went or our eservice wet. Luckily, when Summer and I was about to go, the rain stopped. When we reached the service we told Ricky that Mother Nature loves us and never want us to be harmed.

The first paragraphs are my reason. I agree that classes to be moved from June to March to August to May. Students may get injured. They can also become dull due to the loss of classes. We Filipinos should not be lazy to enjoy the Stormy Weather and just lie down at home.

Astronomy Day!!!

Friday,July 22, the most awaited day of almost all CNSHS student. It was the Astronomy Day!! Since it was announced by ma'am Jenny, I got UBER excited about it. And when the consent was given, my heart jumped with joy!!

Morning, July 22, as usual I did my morning ritual: eating breakfast then taking a bath, and fixing myself but with  a little difference. I went online just to ask somebody what to wear that day. Luckily, I saw the fallen comrade of III- Fluorine, a.k.a Marcson, online. I asked him the question but he did not answer. To my surprise my own account answered my own question! It was Ronald. He opened my account that morning to check on the game I asked him to play. Marcson got confused. After that, I continued fixing myself while laughing at Marcson.

At the van, I saw Summer wearing her GSP uniform. She was the only person not wearing their PE uniform. At school, we still had regular classes from 7 AM to 2 PM. Then we waited for a  long time for the film showing. I was so happy because she was beside me, and also in the exhibit she was with me. Unfortunately, it rained hard and the space dome, which was the best according to the 3-N students was the best, was almost cancelled. Good thing the 3-C students help wash away the water. Thanks to them it was not cancelled :).

Inside the dome, everything was to exciting. Ate Erika controlled time and space at that moment but not literally. She can slowdown, fast forward and stop time if she wants. She can also take us to other planets. But I was so unlucky that she was not beside me instead a group of boys sat beside me and made me as their pillow and the star gazing was cancelled because of the cloudy skies...

If I were Somebody Else...

If I were somebody I want to be any President of the United States. Especially Barack Obama. Not only because he is powerful and wealthy, but because he made a great difference in the rank of black Americans and white Americans.

In America, people think they are privileged and that their rank in the society is higher than those of the black Americans. This kind of "mentality" came from the so called caste system in which whiter people are higher in the society ladder. This is called "varna". But Barack Obama did not mind this mentality, he ignored ithoping to win the elections. And by good graces, he won and in fact he is first black president of America. For him, the color of the skin doesn't matter.

Preposition Poem

outside between within
unlike underneath inside
aside besides behind
In addition to what's beside

Failing to include go behind
In addition to it, failing to go opposite
Including in between
Despite respecting what's aside.

Interest!

Interest or hobbies are thing which differ in every person in this world. Some people likes collecting stamps. Some  interest in collecting cards or baseball cards. Every person in this world has an interest or  interests either the same or not.

Some people interest in listening to music. Some people also interest in reading books. And some even interest in putting interests on people who owe them money. And some even interest in doing NOTHING, just like me sometimes.

As I said earlier, I like to do nothing sometimes but I also like to do something when bored. I oftentimes eat and play computer games during those boring times. I also like to read short stories as in really short stories maybe only as  long as "Jonathan Livingston Seagull." These are my interest. I know they are  just "shallow" but these are the things I like. How about you? What are your Interest?

My Role in Building a Solid Family

The Family ,as the smallest unit of the society, should be strong. Without strong families there would be no strong society or a strong country. But the family itself is the one weakening the whole society. So in order to prevent the "break-down" of the society each member of the family should do something to make their families strong or better yet stronger.

The father as the "provider" of the family should work and provide his family with its needs. He should also don't forget to take care of his family and not be too workaholic and forget his family. The mother also has responsibilities to her family for example nurturing her children and molding them to be a good citizen someday. She should also work if the father's income is not enough for heir family. And the children should also do some responsibilities.

As a child, I should do some responsibilities for the betterment of the family. I should make the family stronger. I should make plans to make our bonds stronger. And I should also stop my family members quarreling or arguing. I should stand in the middle and be an umpire.

Father's Day

Father's Day is a day for dads around the world. During this day fathers from all around the world are given honors and time by their families. But Father's Day this year was very different as in very strange...

During past years I often say " Happy Father's day" to my dad which meant a lot to him. This year I did not even say those words to him, those very significant words... I did not even have the guts to speak to him on his special day. Maybe because ti was a Sunday and I was at the church the whole day or may be there's another reason...

I can't say that the main reason is that it's just a Sunday but partially it is. He was to busy the whole day  and I am too. I was busy helping mothers on their practice for their dance number for our church anniversary which will be next week already. He was also busy doing his affairs as the administrative pastor of our church. I don't know, how other people greet him even though he's busy.
Another reason maybe is that I'm quite shy. And I'm also thinking that I am already a third year student. But I think that's wrong. My own pride swallowed me. It devoured me. But as a son of a pastor I know I should be over my pride and it should NOT overcome me.

First Week of my Junior Life

First week of classes during elementary days are usually boring and gloomy but during the first week of my junior life, I felt something different. It was not dull and boring. It was fun maybe because I knew most of my classmates or maybe because I am a junior now and not a freshmen two years ago and also not a sophomore which I was the past year. We also did not have to introduce ourselves to each other, which is the thing I  really don,t like during the first week of classes.

First day of classes... I was waked up by my mother . I went to the kitchen and ate breakfast. I prepared myself for school while thinking about what will happen that day not even noticing that my service was already there. When I heard the familiar a beep.... a very familiar beep I started to rush fixing myself for school. When I was in the van, I noticed that I got the wrong pants and polo from the cabinet. Ha ha... that's the only thing I said to myself noticing my mistake.

When we arrived at school, the flag ceremony was about to start. Ricky and I ran to the Maliski Building and placed our things in front of our respective rooms. When I was going down the stairs, I saw one of my former classmate, Ara and helped her with her things. Then we both rushed to our respective lines. After the flag ceremony, we went straight to our room. We waited for our adviser to come. When our  adviser came she told us to clean. After we have cleaned, she gave us a brief discussion about chemistry and went to her next class. The next hours were the same that I did not notice that a teacher enter the room and leaves the room. Time passed by so quickly that I just noticed that it was time to leave school and go back home.

The next two days were the days for the diagnostic test. I told myself  "Time for test , time for torments".
During the first day of exam, everything seemed to be normal for me. But during that afternoon, Hans and I were nominated as the escort of the English club school level. But good thing we did not win. The days of exams were over and I was glad that I survived the exams.

The next two days of classes were not as fun as the first day but I was glad because Thursdays and Fridays means that Saturdays and Sundays will come. We lined up for the closing ceremony while listening to the speech of our principal and announcements of the YEC about their tree planting project on the Independence day. I was glad the first week has ended but more weeks will still be there before summer vacation comes....
